frederick lange - 1989 (brinley)
Lange was recognized for his work with area bands, UC Davis Jazz Band, DHS Band, and Woodland Christian School Band.
A member of the Jazz Band since its inception in 1967, he took over directing this unfunded, non-UCD sponsored band in 1975.
He has also been Musical Director, Davis Comic Opera Company since 1981.
He also plays trumpet in the Davis Brass Ensemble, UCD Symphony, Camellia Symphony and other groups in the area.
