jane pomeroy - 1999 (brinley)
Pomeroy was recognized for her dedication to assuring the development of the Davis Senior Housing & Care Continuum, now the University Retirement Community.
She resurrected the idea for a retirement community while serving as an elder at the DCC in 1990. The Continuum became a non-profit agency, and Jane served as its president thereafter until it finally opened this year, a truly major accomplishment for all. She is now VP of the URC (University Retirement Community) Board.
