Rose was recognized for three years as chair of the “It’s OK Not to Drink” campaign and Citizens for Prevention of Alcohol and Drug Abuse.
—Organized a community reception to begin the campaign
—Set up a contest between organizations for the best non-alcoholic punch, and involved PTAs, church groups, DHS Key Club, fraternities and sororities
—Attended a conference in Washington, D.C. on “What Parents Can do.” Sharon became the lead figure in “OK.”
